On the evening of March 31, the college collaborative performed a series of pieces at The Starving Artist to help them reach their destination through donation. Circle K to sponsor talent show to benefit Alzheimer’s support, care and research
From singing to sports and even surprises, April 12 will bring an “Unforgettable” talent show sponsored by Circle K to Keene State College. Circle K, KSC’s student community service club, will sponsor the student-run “Unforgettable Talent Show.” There is no cover charge but students in charge of the event will accept donations, which will go towards the Memory Walk, an upcoming event raising money for Alzheimer’s support, care and research.
Dining Commons plays ‘Julie and Julia’ and dishes out French food to students
“Bon Appetit!” were the words that rang out in the Zorn Dining Commons as students ate their meals on Thursday. The DC held a French-themed cuisine event while showing the 2009 film, “Julie & Julia,” in which Meryl Streep portrayed Julia Child, the American born French chef and entrepreneur. March was International Food Month and the DC wanted to celebrate.
Story including brotherhood of magicians starts series
Themes of sorcerers, magic spells and unicorns within the fantasy novel genre have given way to grittier themes, involving lots of action, crime, intrigue and dealing with the lowest dregs of societies within their respective worlds. Although “The Lies of Locke Lamora” by Scott Lynch, is technically categorized as a fantasy novel, it exceeds typical expectations of the genre.
